Carob honey is produced from the fruits of the carob tree and has a mild, sweet taste. It can be used as a sweetener for cakes, tahini, hot and cold drinks, yogurt, ice cream and rice. It is an excellent substitute for sugar. The taste can vary depending on the variety that has been used without changing the nutritional values. Only Cretan locusts are used for its production.
