Method

  1. Heat a large pan over high heat until hot.
  2. Add 1 tbsp of butter, break the ground beef into chunks, and sauté for 3–4 minutes. Once browned, transfer the beef to a bowl.
  3. Roughly chop the onion, carrot, celery, and garlic.
  4. In the same pan, add the remaining butter along with the chopped vegetables. Sauté, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add the cinnamon stick, bay leaf, a pinch of sugar, salt, and continue to sauté for another 1–2 minutes.
  6. Return the beef to the pan, then add the tomato paste, chopped tomatoes, and water. Lower the heat and let it simmer gently for about 30 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile, bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the oat linguine according to the package instructions.
  8. Once cooked, drain the pasta and toss it with a little olive oil.
  9. Serve topped with the rich beef ragu, grated Parmesan, freshly ground black pepper, and oregano leaves.

Serving Suggestion: Pair with a glass of red wine and a simple green salad for the ultimate cozy dinner.
